Our adoption process starts with an application, a face to face interview, then a home check. We want all family members to be present during the adoption process as well as any other dogs in the home. Each adopter is matched with the best fit for the family or applicant as well as the needs of the dog or puppy of interest. As sometimes we guide applicants to a better fit. Our goal is that when you come to us for a new family member we make that match the best of the best.
Your adoption fee includes spay or neuter, microchip, Rabies, all three rounds of DHPP and Bordetella. We treat for parasites and give you two hours of free in home training with one of our amazing trainers on staff. Our adoption fee is $450. We offer a $50 discount for seniors and also Veterans.
First step in our adoption process is an application, this tells us all we need to know about you, your lifestyle, needs so that we can do the best job possible to match your needs with the needs of the dog or puppy that best fits you. Although whether you fill out an application online or at one of our adoption events, a face to face interview and a home check are normal procedures in our adoption process and adoption qualification. We do not usually adopt outside of the Southern California but each situation can present circumstances that allow an adoption outside of the area to be considered. All dogs/puppies are required to have a collar and Lovejoy Foundation ID tag on them the day they leave for their new forever home. As stated in the contract collar and ID is to remain on the dog or puppy at all times.
