About Erin Lovejoy.
Erin Lovejoy has been a devoted animal advocate since childhood. Drawing upon a sales and marketing background, she transformed her passion into a powerful force for change. Erin's vision for The Lovejoy Foundation was to establish a serene sanctuary for dogs and puppies, where they could be cherished, adopted, and adored by the public. She firmly believes that educating young minds is pivotal in raising awareness about the plight of neglected, abandoned, and abused animals, thereby shaping a brighter future for us all. Erin's promise to these animals never wavers, and her goal remains the same: to ensure that every dog finds purpose, companionship, and a loving home.
Advocacy and Impact: A Better Relationship Between Animals and People
Since April 2010, Erin Lovejoy has dedicated herself to bringing the vision of a better world for people and animals to life. Through relentless effort and commitment, the Foundation has facilitated the rescue, rehabilitation, and sourcing loving, forever homes for over 14,000 dogs to date. Rain or shine, Erin holds adoptions every Saturday and Sunday, consistently delivering on the mission to offer hope for animals and the families who love them. The Lovejoy Foundation is a 24/7 community service, offering guidance and assistance for owner surrenders, stray dogs, and injured animals, providing the support they so desperately need.
Community Engagement
At The Lovejoy Foundation, our dedication extends beyond animal welfare. We actively collaborate with the city of Inglewood's homeless program, offering valuable assistance and support to help individuals transition from life on the streets to stable housing. Additionally, we provide food distributions to address immediate needs and alleviate the hardships faced by those experiencing homelessness. We firmly believe in the power of compassion and aim to make a lasting impact on our community.
Empowering Special Needs Adults
In our pursuit of inclusivity, The Lovejoy Foundation has formed a meaningful partnership with an organization dedicated to empowering adults with special needs to secure employment opportunities. Through internships and personalized job coaching, we create a nurturing environment where individuals can showcase their unique talents and abilities. Our primary goal is to foster a sense of belonging and purpose, promoting personal and professional growth for all.
Collaboration for Greater Impact
The Lovejoy Foundation actively collaborates with esteemed organizations such as NCL (National Charity League) and Veterans groups, among others. Together, we strive to create a compassionate and inclusive society that values the welfare of both humans and animals. Through these collaborations, we have successfully reduced the number of animals entering local shelters, making a significant impact on our community
